ALL - EGM's Quartermann Latest Rumors

Electronic Gaming Monthly's (EGM) well known rumor monger, Quartermann, is back with a new set of rumors, and this time to shoot down hopes for a sequel to RealTime Worlds' Crackdown, but also hinting a new mixed martial arts title under the giant Electronic Arts' banner. He also mentions a Patapon spin-off and assured fans that Capcom's Dead Rising 2 is in the works.

Following a “best debut title of 2007” honors at the recent Game Developers Conference 2008, Quartermann is out to disappoint a few fans by claiming that RealTime Worlds is not currently working on Crackdown 2. Microsoft's Shane Kim expressed interest in the sequel, and so leaving fans with a little ray of hope. However, one thing's for sure, and that is that the developers are working on a crime-infested online game ABP which started development way back in 2005.

Meanwhile, Quartermann has also detected a mixed martial arts entry by EA. We're not quite sure though what license the big publisher will employ since THQ owns the right to Ultimate Fighting Championship, and if we are to assume, this could have no ties like EA's free-spirited Facebreaker.

Another interesting bit in this set of Quartermann rumors is the Patapon spin-off which could eventually make its way to the PlayStation Network. Meanwhile, there has been no concrete details yet as to Capcom's sequel to Dead Rising, only word that it is in development. So, make sure you stick it here to see if any of these are indeed true.
