After an impressive debut, Microsoft's Halo 3 dropped 79% in sales and was bumped off the top of the All Formats chart for the week ending October 6 by EA's FIFA 2008.

After Chart UK published the results for the Top 40 games in the region, it was revealed that Halo 3's reign has finally come to an end. Electronic Arts' FIFA 08 (PS3, PS2, PSP, Xbox 360, PC, Wii, and DS) rose to the top after coming in second from last week's charts. Here is the Top 10 from the list:

4.My Sims
5.Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08
6.More Brain Training From Dr. Kawashima
7.Sega Rally
8.Ratatouille
9.Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training

Analysts could not see any reason for the drop in sales other than that the probable buyers of the Halo 3 have already purchased their copy during the first week, and so there's not much contribution in sales this past week. But considering the tremendous amount of success the game has had in the first few weeks of its release, it still managed to hang on to second place. Not bad, huh?
