ALL - Ghostbusters Game Confirmed

We have previously reported that rumors are surfacing with regards to a new Ghostbusters game in development. Today, Vivendi subsidiary Sierra Entertainment has confirmed that Ghostbusters will indeed be arriving for the Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, Wii, DS and PC in the last quarter of 2008.

The new iteration will pick up where the original Ghostbusters and its 1989 sequel have left off. Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis will be responsible for the game's script which will be set in New York early 1990.

As with the original film, Ghostbusters will feature parapsychologists Aykroyd, Ramis, and Bill Murray; only this time, there's a new one to the team, Ernie Hudson. Others who will be making a comeback from the film includes Annie Potts, Brian Doyle Murray, and William Atherton.

Handling the development for the 360, PS3 and PC version is BloodRayne studio Terminal Reality. Meanwhile, Red Fly Studios will be the one working on the PS2, Wii, and DS versions of the game. As of now, there has not been any rating or price revealed for the game.
