ALL - Guitar Hero World Tour Songs Revealed Plus Other Info

With Guitar Hero World Tour's (PS2, PS3, 360, Wii) release this coming fall, there has been rumors circling around about a touch-sensitive guitar.

Although this new title supports previous Guitar Hero guitars, GH World Tour includes a new wireless instrument with a touch pad below the five standard fret buttons. According to some reports, this new touch pad enables players to “mimic a slap bass” and play with a few notes.

Overall, the title is said to include 85 master tracks, but is not compatible with the existing GH3 DLC. Meanwhile, Rock Band has expressed desire to create future Rock Band titles that will support all Rock Band downloadable content.

As of now, the following bands and their respective tracks has been confirmed for Guitar Hero World Tour:

*Sublime - "Santeria"
*Billy Idol - "Rebel Yell"
*Foo Fighters - "Everlong"
*Linkin Park
*Van Halen
*The Eagles

During some leakage in marketing information at the start of this week, the information about the touch-sensitive guitar was revealed. Although lots of information, including the $180 price and a few band names, Activision has yet to confirm any of these, except for the news that involved the Foo Fighters.

Among those artists and/or tracks that were rumored to be included are listed below:

*At the Drive-In - "One Armed Scissor
*Def Leppard
*Aerosmith
*Jimi Hendrix
*The Doors
*Smashing Pumpkins
*KoRn
*System of a Down
*Ozzy Osbourne
*Interpol
*Muse
*The Police
*Blink 182
*Red Hot Chili Peppers

Also known as Guitar Hero IV, World Tour includes drums and vocal support along with a new focus on music creation. It has yet to be determined however whether the peripherals for GH4 will be compatible with Rock Band or Rock Revolution, or vice versa.

The PS3 and 360 editions of Guitar Hero World Tour will be handled by Neversoft. Meanwhile, Vicarious Visions will develop the Wii edition, as Budcat does the PS2 version.
