JAKKS Pacific and THQ just recently confirmed the names of the wrestling superstars that will be featured in the cover of WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2009 (PS3, PSP, Xbox 360, Wii, DS). And of course, who better to have the honors than the two members of D-Generation X: Triple H and Shawn Michaels.

As this year's installment of the series focuses on the tag team mode, this will be enhanced by the Road to Wrestlemania campaign wherein players will control a pair of their chosen wrestlers in story mode which is filled with several challenges and choices to make. With that focus in mind, JAKKS thought that having Michaels and Triple H on the cover will be able to embody that concept and that's why they were chosen to appear in the cover.

These two wrestling superstars are considered legends in this field of sports entertainment. Shawn Michaels became the first ever Triple-crown champion of WWE, while Triple H was the second to do the same feat. When it comes to snagging the WWE championship, Michaels has done it four times while Triple H did that a dozen times already.

Aside from that, these two also have a huge fan base not only because of their strength in the ring but also for their cool characters and charisma. Look out for WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2009 to be released later this year.
