ALL - Japanese Console Sales (As Of Dec. 23/ 07)
The Media Create Japan's hardware sales for the week running from December 17 to 23 has been tallied. The said week's results were pretty consistent with the last two weeks preceding this one, seeing the DS and Wii securing the top two spots.
Below is the complete list with their exact sales figures for each console:
1. NDS: 279,563
2. WII: 232,907
3. PSP: 171,804
4. PS3: 58,167
5. PS2: 20,391
6. Xbox 360: 7,908
7. GBA: 100
8. NGC: 31
And while Microsoft is keen on increasing sales of the Xbox 360 in Japan by tapping some of the more popular video game developers from the said region, Sony is not letting competition aside. As seen on the charts, Sony PlayStation consoles are slowly edging their way to the top.
