ALL - Karraker Leaving SCEA
Here's a bit of a surprise- just over a year from taking the job as Senior Director of Corporate Communications (translation: head of PR) David Karakker is leaving Sony and videogames in general.
His last day on the job will be this coming Friday. As of October 1 he will begin working for SKYY Spirits, a beverage company.
He says he took the position with SKYY because it "presented a global opportunity near my home in an industry where I have previous experience that I feel I must pursue." Some of Karraker's previous work included managing communications for brands such as Beefeater, Kahlua and Courvoisier.
No word as of yet as to who will replace him as Sony's PR head.
