ALL - Kazunori Yamauchi Talks GT5 Prologue, GT On PSP

In a recent interview with GamePro, Kazunori Yamauchi, the lead producer of the Gran Turismo series, revealed new details regarding the hit racing franchise.

Among the new features included in the latest Gran Turismo series include GT TV, which allows players to view real-life motoring shows. However, Yamauchi said that the availability of the vidoes will vary depending on the type of content. “If it's a race footage, people would want to see it immediately or as soon as possible...Whereas a documentary-style program, there is less of an urgency,” said Yamauchi.

The same limited Sixaxis support as in Gran Turismo HD Concept will be available for the Gran Turismo 5: Prologue. If you could recall in GT HD Concept, putting down the controller enabled the menu to appear. Yamauchi has hinted that this will also be done with the GT5 Prologue.

While it seems like fans in Europe will be gaining access to this game via Blu-Ray and PSN, it will be available only on the Blu-Ray for the US gamers.

There is also a possibility of releasing a Gran Turismo title for the Sony PSP, most probably after the release of Gran Turismo 5. He said, “We are working on it, and we will get around to it eventually.”
