ALL - New PSP Leads Japanese Console Sales

The PSP-3000 is breaking records in Japan. The overall sales for the PSP has even managed to surpass the combined sales of the DS and all consoles.

On the other side of things, the PlayStation 3 was outdone by the Xbox 360. Here are figures from Media Create for the week ending October 19:

*PSP: 159,816
*DS Lite: 29,839
*Wii: 26,024
*Xbox 360: 7,856
*PS2: 7,261
*PS3: 4,725

If the trend continues until the holiday season, well Sony is looking good when it comes to their sales forecast, which is 1 million.
