ALL - PlayStation Phone on the way

The Times Newspaper has recently reported that Sony Ericcson, a major producer of mobile phones are in discussions with Sony about how they can use the PlayStation brand in a future range of gaming phones.

There have been rumors for quite some time about Sony experimenting with ways of turning the PSP into a phone, however these were recently denied (even if it would be an i-phone beater).

The most likely possibility is that they are looking into incorporating PSone (the original PlayStation) technology into the next generation of phones. This would give a huge library of possible games for the phones and allow them to brand the phones with the PlayStation logo.

On such small screens, PSone games would still look amazing.

The fact that Sony have spent the time cross-converting PSone games to work on both the PSP and PS3 (using a software emulator), should make it very easy to use the same method to get the same games working on these new phones.

Resident Evil on your mobile anyone ?
