ALL - PS2 Still More Popular than PS3 or PSP
August game console sales figures for the USA show that Sony is still very much relying on old technology to pay for its losses on the PS3. Even with all of the hype surrounding the PlayStation3 and the lack of new games for the PS2, the older machine is still massively outselling it.
PlayStation 3 Sales for August 2007 in USA = 130,600
PlayStation Portable Sales for August 2007 in USA = 151,200
PlayStation 2 Sales in August 2007 in USA = 202,000
It makes you wonder why most of the game developers have switched to the very expensive (when it comes to making games) PS3, when there are so many new PS2 customers that will want games.
