ALL - Sony Intros New SingStar Titles

As the holiday season draws near, Sony is revving up the release of SingStar. In fact, 3 SingStar titles were announced by Sony. SingStar Vol. 2 for the PS3, and PS2's SingStar Country and SingStar Legends.

For SingStar Country, you can get songs from artists like Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, and Faith Hill. If you are not into country music, then SingStar Legends might be the one for you with songs from some of the music industry's greatest – Marvin Gaye, Patsy Cline, and the Police.

SCEA's VP for Product Marketing, Scott Steinberg details:

“With over 14 million units sold worldwide, the SingStar franchise continues to evolve the interactive singing experience, creating superior entertainment for the whole family.”

You can access the content of the PS2 version for the PS3 via the free game update for the PS3 discs. To use this feature, there is no need for your PS3 system to undergo software udpate.

SingStar Vol.2 features up to 30 tracks including those from Radiohead, The Bravery, Spoon, Paramore, and many more. You can also gain access to a catalog that enables you to choose songs you want to download from SingStore.

For Queen fans, a Queen pack is also set for release featuring songs such as Bohemian Rhapsody, We Are The Champions, and Another One Bites The Dust.

You have two options in purchasing the game: either as a stand-alone disc or with 2 USB microphones. You can use the microphones from the PS2 library with Vol.3 for the PS3. Meanwhile, don't forget about SingStar ABBA, which is due for release on December 4.
