All - Sony Re-Files Trademark For Blasto
How many of you remember the game Blasto on the original PlayStation? For those needing a refresher, Blasto was a sci-fi action game introduced in 1998 featuring Phil Hartman voicing the title character. The game did not do so well due to poor controls and high difficulty and quickly went into obscurity.
Sony has decided to dust off the old title, it seems, as they have recently re-filed Blasto with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. According to the patent Blasto will be a "real-time game for others over global and local area computer networks".
Sounds like this could become a new title for either the PS3's PlayStation network or even the PSP. It is still very early to tell as of yet, however, so we will have to wait for Sony to give us more details when they are ready.

Awesome! I remember playing it (Rent or own, I can't remember all that). I thought the voice acting by the late Phil Hartman was excellent. The controls were bad, yes, but it was a fun platformer, with some space shooting.
I thought it was "Blasto!" with an exclamation, but I might be making that up.
Either way, I'm happy to hear they are working on something new!
