Apparently, Mario is a hit in the UK as Super Smash Bros. Brawl was able to defend its top position in this week's UK sales charts. If you can recall, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games managed to stay on top of the UK Charts for sixteen non-consecutive weeks. That achievement was able to beat Metal Gear Solid 4's record on top of the UK Charts.

While MGS4 is already brought up into the picture, its quite noticeable that the said title was a no-show at this week's top ten list, and the same is the case for Grand Theft Auto IV. Both games were able to make it into the top twenty games though, with MGS4 and GTA IV taking the 15th and 13th spot respectively. Listed below is the complete top twenty games in the UK for the week ending July 5:
