ALL - Worldwide Hardware/ Software Sales (Week Ending August 2/ 08)
As we near the final quarter of the year, the action in terms of sales for both software and hardware departments intensifies further.
The recent worldwide hardware and software chart figures from VG Chartz for the week ending August 1 saw Nintendo sweeping the top spot. Both the Wii and DS lead the hardware pack, with 552,941 and 326,075 in sales respectively. Therefore, the DS Lite saw a 5% increase in sales while the Wii dropped a -14.
As for the list of best-selling softwares, Namco Bandai's 360 version of Soul Calibur was on top while the PS3 version of the same title was at number three. Securing the second spot is PSP's Phantasy Star Portable, while both the Wii's Sports and Fit took the 4th and 5th place.
