North American PlayStation Store Update For March 13/ 08
The North American PlayStation Store got itself a variety of add-ons, trailers, videos and themes this week. Time to take a closer look:
Game Add-Ons
Pain- Two new characters to add to the crew, Ginger the nurse and Muffy the cheerleader. Each can be had for 99 cents.
Toy Home: Expansion pack- this pack contains 6 new vehicles and 2 new playrooms, each with three different configurations. This pack also brings in 4 player racing, both off- and online as well as new courses in single player and a free run mode. $6.99
Guitar Hero III: Dropkick Murphy's Track Pack- just in time for St. Patrick's Day on March 17 comes this set of three songs from Irish group Dropkick Murphy's. The three songs included are "Famous for Nothing”, “Flannigans Ball”, “Johnny” and “I Hardly Knew Ya”. Oh, yes, the price? FREE!
Rock Band: This new pack contains three songs- “Shockwave” by Black Tide, “Beethoven’s C***” by Serj Tankian and “CrushCrushCrush” by Paramore. Each song is 99 cents.
Game Demos
MLB 08: The Show- have a quick test run with a 3 inning game between Boston and Colorado in Fenway Park.
Game Videos
Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds- Two videos to choose from, "Characters and Courses" and "New Shot System".
Viking: Battle for Asgard- A teaser trailer along with two gameplay videos, "Skarin's Calling" and "Seige of Caldburg"
PS3 Themes
5 themes in all- one each based on the new Pain characters Ginger and Muffy, two Condemned 2: Bloodshot themes and a God of War: Chains of Olympus theme. They also include a PSP version.
Speaking of the PSP, it doesn't get left out as the PSP's PlayStation Store has a few new goodies too. gamers can grab themselves a demo of WipeOut Pulse as well as the GoW: CoO theme and your choice of four new wallpapers based on Kratos' portable adventure.
