PS2 - Eidos Announces Top Trumps: Doctor Who
Eidos Interactive recently announced the release of a brand new game, Top Trumps: Doctor Who, for various platforms such as the PS2, DS, PC, and Mobile.
By bringing forth to the table some new and interactive elements, as well as incorporating these with some character animations based on the Doctor Who: Infinite Quest animation series, Top Trumps: Doctor Who promises to bring the classic card game to life. If that is not enough, then you can also feast yourself with a whole bunch of mini-games that you can play.
Aside from the 35 different character cards that features its own biographic data, the game also sports both the “classic” Top Trumps rule set. But if you are in for a more tactical head-to-head challenge, then the main “Adventure mode” is for you.
The game's also been enhanced with a few more special abilities to add up to each of these six playable characters' arsenal: The Doctor, Martha Jones, Captain Jack, The Dalek, The Cyberman, and a Slitheen.
“This game has so much to offer so you can expect a fast, fun, and fantastic experience, which has something for everyone to enjoy”, reveals Eido's Brand Manager, Ray Livingston. He also adds that this game will “offer something very fresh to fans of both Top Trumps and Doctor Who.”
Meanwhile, BBC Worldwide's head of interactive, Dave Anderson, shared the same views with regards to the game. He states, “The Top Trumps: Doctor Who product line has been an immense success and we're delighted with this new addition to the family and the way Eidos has taken the play-pattern to a whole new interactive level.”
Looks like it won't be such a long wait until Top Trumps: Doctor Who hit store shelves as its been slated for a Spring 2008 release.
