PS2 - FIFA08 Crushes Project Gotham Racing
In the UK and all over Europe, Electronic Art's FIFA 08 managed to secure its number one spot in the all-formats charts this week.
Meanwhile, Project Gotham Racing for the Microsoft's Xbox 360 debuted at number two, with Xbox's own Halo 3 dropping to number three.
The movie tie-in Ratatouille by THQ managed to ride the success of the Disney/Pixar film and took a major leap from last week's number 8 to this week's number 4. If Ratatouille got a major boost, another THQ game Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights dropped big-time, formerly at number 3 is now at number 7.
Taking places 5 and 6 respectively are EA's My Sims (Wii) and the multiplatform Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08. After previously falling off the top 10 list, Sony's Resistance: Fall of Man makes a re-emergence at number 8. And rounding off the top 10 list is Nintendo's Wii Play and Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training.
All the other games in the list are mostly the same from last week's, with a few shake-ups here and there. The only new entry was Vivendi's Crash of the Titans, who placed at 19.
Sony got a boost in terms of software sales with the help of the new price and SKU for the PS3. Two other Playstation games, Heavenly Sword and Motorstorm, took the number 14 and 18 spots, respectively.
