PS2 - Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence Online Servers Shutting Down
In its efforts to kill off the PlayStation 2's online capabilities, Konami has just announced that starting April 2 of this year the online multiplayer component of Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence will no longer be available.
Many have speculated that this move was done in order to attract more people to Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops or just to make some space for the launch of Metal Gear Online, knowing that the June release of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is just around the corner.
Konami has just recently sent their messages to gamers to thank them for the massive support that the game has been getting.
"The last day of online service for Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence in North America will be April 2nd. Konami sincerely thanks all of the Subsistence online community for their dedication to the game and support of the Metal Gear Solid series."
