PS2 - Playstation 2 Version of Rock Band before Xmas
On September 28, representatives from US Harmonix confirmed that the PS2 version of Rock Band will be released in North America. But a bigger news is that it will be released before the year ends, putting it up against Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock. Hence, the Wii will be the only console where the Guitar Hero series remains unchallenged.
Sadly, the PS2 version of Rock Band is a rather scaled-down version of the music game. There is a single-player career mode, but is not equipped with music downloads.
As of now, there has been 10 songs announced for the PS2 version, which includes major rock hits like Rolling Stones' “Gimme Shelter,” the Beastie Boys' “Sabotage,” and the Clash's “Should I Stay or Should I Go?”.
