PS2 - Price and Size Slashed for PlayStation 2
With the Sony Playstation 2's recent 7th anniversary celebration, Sony is looking to make the Sony PS2 even stronger with a new redesigned model. Already, words are out that this new “compact” Sony PS2 with built-in power supply is set for an early 2008 release, bearing with it a US $99 price tag.
According to MCV UK, Sony is manufacturing this new PS2 units with built-in power supplies for a lower price. After bringing in a total console sales of 120 million, Sony is posed to enhance this some more. Major publishers Eidos, Ubisoft Entertainment, and Atari thinks that a price-cut would certainly improve sales figures for the console.
