PS2 - Rock Band Guitars Won't Rock Guitar Hero: Aerosmith
You probably remember the news wherein Activision stated that they will not approve of the patch that will make Rock Band guitars compatible with the Guitar Hero 3 system, despite the fact that GH 3 controllers were compatible with Rock Band. There were several reasons cited for it and most of them were due to intellectual property, which surely did anger several people.
Now that that issue has all passed, another one rises again. Apparently, many were hoping that the folks at Activision has realized from their past mistake and that they have fixed this with Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. However, many of those who've bought this new title realized that the Rock Band guitars are still incompatible. Whenever you try and use the Rock Band peripherals on the Guitar Hero: Aerosmith system, a message will appear on-screen saying, "An unsupported guitar peripheral has been detected."
Apparently, the same problem still goes and nothing has been done to resolve this. So, if you're thinking of mixing the set of instruments with Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero: World Tour which are both set for release later this year, you better start thinking about getting the bundle separately.
