The SingStar franchise just continues to grow after its initial launch for the PlayStation 2 back in 2004. Indeed, the game has turned into a widely varied music genre with a karaoke-based gameplay so players can sing along to the tune. After SingStar Bollywood and SingStar 80's, the game is looking to cover every musical stone. In fact, it has sold over 13 million copies in PAL territories. When it was made available for the PS3 in 2007, the game continued to expand and more downloadable content were made available online via the SingStore.

Apparently, SingStar is not done yet. Sony has just confirmed that two more additions to the SingStar franchise will be arriving soon. According to Sony, a Country version will arrive to the PS2 on October 28. Meanwhile, SingStar Abba will also arrive on both PS2 and PS3.

SingStar Country promises to bring 30 different tracks from various artists like Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift, Faith Hill and many more. The US release for this version was set on October 24. SingStar Pop vol. 2 and SingStar Legends will arrive to the US for the PS2 at a yet unspecified fall date.

SingStar Abba, on the other hand, will be released on PlayStation platforms. Surely, this is exciting news, knowing the tremendous success that this Swedish band has experienced all throughout their existence in the music biz.
