PS2 - Square Enix's Soul Eater Hitting PS2, PSP
Manga-based video games are establishing themselves in the gaming world after the release of DBZ Budokai and Bleach: Heat the Soul. But the latest offering comes in the form of Soul Eater: Battle Resonance, which will land on both the PSP and PS2.
This game is based on a hit manga series by Square Enix, Soul Eater. This has been previously released into other platforms such as Soul Eater: Monotone Princess for the Wii and Soul Eater: Medusa's Conspiracy for the DS. While the manga is by Square Enix, Namco Bandai will be taking over the development of the said title for the PSP and PS2, which has been slated for a January 29 release in Japan.
There are no specific details revealed as of now, although it is a fighting game. The PSP version for Soul Eater will feature an ad-hoc mode, while the PS2 version's “Soul Theater” comes with 24 story sequences.
