PS2 - USA Getting Silver Slimline?
A recent listing on Gamestop´s web site may have let some news out a bit early. They have recently put up a page for a silver-color slimline PS2 priced at $129.99 US (the same as the black model). The silver PlayStation 2 has been available in Europe and Japan since 2005.
The listed price gives players the basic system with one controller. The date given on the page is October 24/ 06, just in time for the start of holiday shopping and a mere 3 weeks before the launch of the PlayStation 3. As of yet Sony has not confirmed the listing so it´s possible Gamestop jumped the gun or are mistaken. The fact that it is listed should not be taken as confirmation.
