PS2 - Will You Pay 160 for Rock Band on PlayStation 2?
Harmonix and MTV Games, creators of the much-acclaimed Rock Band, has broken their silence about the details on pricing and packaging of the game, revealing that it will cost 169.99 (US) and be released on November 23 for the PS3.
Rock Band's PlayStation 2 version will be out on December 10 and is cheaper at 159.99 (US).
The PS3 bundle comes with a wireless version of the Stratocaster controller but has no USB hub and a a wired drum kit and a microphone with every purchase of the game. Not only that, the PS3 instruments are compatible to the PS2 edition of the game.

Not a good move on their part to price the game that high, even if it does come with most of the controllers needed. I'm thinking EA will find themselves seeing more people buying the game separately and grabbing the peripheral they want now, then maybe buying the others later on.
