PS3 - 200 People Working on MGS4

In a recent interview, Konami Digital's Ryan Payton has revealed that the production team working on the soon to be released PS3 exclusive game Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots now totals 200, while at the same time giving hints about the DualShock3 technology to be used for the Sony PS3 controller.

He says that because Metal Gear is a high-profile franchise, there is a lot of pressure that falls on the development team's shoulders. “The way things are turning out, this [Metal Gear Solid 4] could be the first 'must have' Sony Playstation 3 title on store shelves,” says Payton.

Then, Payton further adds, “This will be the premiere DualShock3 supporting game coming out within the next six months.”

Though he refused to spill in more details about the game and how the DualShock3 will work for the game, he believes that there are things about the game that people are going to like but he cannot talk about just yet. And while talking about the DualShock3, he said, “For some reason it took them like ten or fifteen minutes to realize that the game had rumble.”

Originally, MGS4 was set for release in 2007, but the release date was moved to 2008 due to development reasons.
