PS3 - Analog Patch For Lair Confirmed
Good news for those that bought Lair but were less than thrilled about the controls. It has been confirmed that factor 5, developers of the game, have made a patch allowing the use of the analog sticks for steering instead of the SixAxis. Even better, the patch is scheduled to hit during Q1- that's within the next month!
Factor 5 had a demo of Lair running during GDC 08 with the patch running. According to a rep from IGN that tried it, "I played it and Holy shit; Greg needs to give them a new score. It was kind of clear that Factor 5 put in the extra effort a little begrudgingly, but the results were amazing. This might push me over the edge into the must buy PS3 territory."
Not sure if this patch fixes any other niggling issues with the game. Still, this upcoming news may make it worth the while to give the dragon riding another chance.
