PS3 - Arcade Classic Q*Bert Coming

Do the names Coily, Ugg and Wrongway ring a bell with any of the gamers out there? If you played arcade games in the 80´s they should- those are 3 of the enemies found in Q*Bert, first out in 1982 by Gottleib. Now, the memories can be relived as the game is coming to the PlayStation Store.

This won´t be the exact same Q*bert as we remembered, by the way. This game is going to be getting some next-gen tweaks. Not much in details there but we do know the game is set for release on February 22, will cost $4.99 US, will run in 720p resolution and will have worldwide leaderboards so you can see how well you compare.

For those that aren´t familiar with the game the object was to have your character jump on blocks that form a giant pyramid shape so that all of the blocks are the same color. Various enemies, however, show up to make that trick dificult by changing the colors as they jump on them too. One of the features of the arcade original was the joystick, which was set up to move diagonally.
