PS3 - At Least 220,000 Units At Launch- Maguire

Threespeech, the semi-official blog for Sony, recently had an interview with Ray Maguire (managing Director for Sony Computer Entertainment UK). During that interview he revealed there will be at least 222,000 units available on day 1 (March 23). For those wondering, this is a bit more than the amount that actually was available across all of North America during the launch there in November.
Elsewhere in the interview it was asked why the 20 GB model will not be available, at least right away. His response was feedback he was getting from retail and consumers suggested people want ¨the best¨, that being the 60 GB system. It was a matter of either not having enough of both models or having about the right amount of one to cover the demand.
