PS3 - BD Live Coming Via Firmware Update This Summer

Sony has announced that BD-Live will be coming to PS3s as soon as May or June this year and will be included in an upcoming firmware update.

For those wondering "what the heck is BD-Live?", it is a method of adding extra features to Blu-Ray movie releases by going online and finding the material appropriate to the film you are watching.

This update was leaked by an interview in Home Cinema Choice magazine. It is expected to be released once the first BD-Live capable stand-alone players are released, such as the upcoming Panasonic DMP-BD50.
