PS3 - Breath Of Fire III & IV Coming To PSOne Classics?
Capcom has continually expressed their desire to re-release classic games to the PlayStation Store for both PS3 and PSP gamers. Recently, major franchises have just been confirmed to belong into the PSOne Classics category. Fans are interested to learn what other franchises are joining the bandwagon.
Well, fans should be pleased as Capcom is quick to respond and it seems as though the Breath of Fire series is the newest join to be in store for PS gamers.
Capcom's Corporate Office and Vice President of Strategic Planning & Business Development, Christian Svenson, previously hinted that Breath of Fire III and IV might join the list of PSOne Classics at the Capcom-Unity forums wherein he said:
“Now, if all you want are PS1 rereleases (which play on PSP and PS3), that's something I'm still working on. Games have to be recleared for IP and middleware usage to see if there's any conflicts. No promises, but they're high on my list.”
Breath of Fire III initially released on the original PlayStation in 1997. All that fans could expect for now is a re-release of the Breath of Fire series of games and that no new game from the franchise will be available soon.
