PS3 - Burnout: Paradise Trophies Are Retroactive:Criterion
Many gamers are getting excite about the Trophy system that will be in place once th new firmware update gets into place tomorrow for the PS3. One problem is, for most games, those trophies are not retroactive. What does this mean? You will have to play the game through again to get whatever trophies are available.
Thankfully, this is not the case for all games. Simon Phillips of Critereon Gamesmade a recent post over at the official US Playstation blog to talk about the latest update to their game as well as give some info about adding trophies to the game.
He went on to assure gamers that Burnout: Paradise will have trophies in a later update (not the one coming up July 10). Even better, he revealed that they planned ahead and the trophies will be retroactive- going by your game save/ data, when the trophies come into effect on the game, any that you would have earned had they been in place originally will be given to you.
Again, no word on when the trophies will be in place for the game. Criterion does have an update coming on July 10 (codenamed Cagney) that will add a load of new events.
The firmware update with the trophy feature on the PS3 arrives tomorrow.
