PS3 - Details On New Firmware, PlayStation Store

As many of you know by now the PlayStation Store is going to be getting a major facelift via a firmware update. The day for this has been named for Japan- April 15. While the date has not been anounced for other regions, just about every firmware update has been a global launch.

The video below is a walkthrough of the store's new features by Grace Chen, SCEA's Senior Manager of the PlayStation Store:

Not much else is known as to what is in the firmware update when it arrives next week but we do know it does include support for DTS-HD Master Audio output for Blu-ray videos, which will give those with high end audio systems the best possible sound to go with the movies.
