PS3 - Dragon Ball Titles Save Namco Bandai Profits
After the economy was hit by a major crisis, the games industry felt it as well. However, Namco Bandai saw a glimmer of hope via the Dragon Ball Z titles, which is responsible for most of the publisher's profit earnings for the second quarter.
PS3 and Xbox 360's Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit managed to sell 728,000 copies in several regions such as US, Europe, and Japan. Budokai Tenkaichi did just as good with about 420,000 units sold in Europe. Other Dragon Ball Z titles that did particularly well are Taiko Drum Master 2 (342,000 units sold in Japan), and Soul Calibur IV (189,000 units sold in Japan).
The Dragon Ball titles have been under the helm of Namco Bandai and it seems like they have been making waves in the market.
