PS3 - EA Offers Bonus Map In Battlefield 1943 Community Challenge
Electronic Arts is dishing out more challenging open battlefield with PS3's Battlefield 1943. In fact, they have announced their plans to host a Community Challenge that will give you a fourth (bonus) map as a reward.
Included in the said map is the “Coral Sea”, which will only be unlocked once you have reached 43 million kills in the multiplayer community on both PSN and XBL. For hardcore gamers, this map is definitely for you since it includes intense aerial battles and an access to an all-new Air Superiority game mode. With that said, this map is an all-plane only experience and you'd have to have mad dogfighting skills to survive.
Aside from this, Battlefield 1943 will also welcome three additional maps slated for release this summer: Iwo Jima, Guadalcanal, and Wake Island. All these three maps including the bonus one can be purchased for US $15.
As for the full game itself, it is available this summer on PSN for US$ 14.99.
