PS3 - Eidos Gives Deux Ex 3 Details

At this early stage of the game's development process, we can't expect to have much details for Deus Ex 3 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) popping out with regards to its gameplay and story.

In a recent interview, however, Eidos Montreal's Stephane D'Astrous spilled in a few details about the game. The plot for Deus Ex 3 will pick on five to seven years preceding the events of the first Deus Ex game. D'Astrous reveals that the new game's story will follow on with the history of the franchise, but aside from that he gives no further details.

Furthermore, D'Astrous only said that conspiracy theories is “an option” when asked if it will be entrenched in the storyline. But as he reveals that they are focusing on replayability, expect this game to have a more solid and in-depth storyline.

And in keeping with the franchise's history, you can also expect a few elements from the previous game to be incorporated in this new one, such as the dialogue and the choice versus consequences theme. As for the other features, he declines to go into details.

When it comes to the game's release, looks like we won't be seeing it in the market until 2009 as the game is under a 24-month development cycle. Until then, fans will just have to hope that the game will be worth the long wait.
