PS3 - European PSN Getting Maintenance Next Week
A quick word of advance warning to the UK/ Euro gamers checking out API. There will be a bit of downtime on Tuesday, May 8 as Sony performs some maintenance and upgrades. This is expected to be for 3 hours (not long) between 4 and 7 PM BST.
From Community Coordinator Lestrade: ¨We are hoping to complete this work in as short a time as possible and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. But remember that these enhancements are paving the way for new and exciting content that we have planned for the Store.¨
Anyone in the middle of an online game when the shutdown starts will not be kicked off but you will not be able to start a new online game or access the PlayStation Store during that time. No word was given if these upgrades were also going to happen in North America.
