PS3 - FIFA 2008 Free Demo
Electronic Arts have today confirmed that the downloadable demo for FIFA 2008 on the PlayStation 3 will be available on Thursday September 13th in the PlayStation Network Store.
This year sees a new level of realism in FIFA with the addition of the co-op mode. It gives two people a chance to choose a player and then stick with them for the entire game. It’s a weird experience when you don’t have the ability to quickly change to another player on the field and aims to help the players to learn the game and how it is really played; you don’t defend your goals and tackle your opponents, you loose. To keep you involved, there are only five players on a team which also makes the game more realistic. FIFA has traditionally been played by younger, or less technical players, so trying to convince your friend to play this properly and not just charge in and take on everyone will be as much of a challenge as the actual game mode its-self.
All of the previous multi-player modes are still available in FIFA 2008 on PS2, allowing you to invite up to 3 mates to play with you on your system.
There are some very subtle changes in FIFA 2008 on the PS2. Many of them have come directly from true fans of the game, and you can tell. A great example of this is that when you have a free kick or a throw-in you can hide the icons that would show your opponent where you are planning the ball to be kicked or thrown… a tiny but vital change that will definitely improve multi-player games.

Well I definitely cannot wait for this game, the demo will have to tide me over until its general release, which is VERY soon thankfully.
The PS3 version will be amazing (I hope).
Please EA, don't have messed up the PS3 version...
Cool, it'll be nice to check out the demo first. The rest of this year is going to be packed with games... unless they get delayed any more. It's going to be hard to decide which ones are buy-worthy. Demos always help.
