PS3 - "FIFA is Biggest Game In 2007"- EA
Shortly after achieving the one million sales in the UK after being only in the market for nine weeks, Electronic Arts (EA) proclaimed FIFA 08 as “the true entertainment launch of the year”.
FIFA 08 was the first title released this year to achieve that – although many expected this to happen as FIFA 07 achieved the same thing last year, but FIFA 08 did it in a shorter time (to be exact, a week earlier).
EA's UK Marketing Manager, Dan Holman, said in an interview that “[they're] thrilled with the performance of FIFA 08.” He further adds that “being the first game to reach the one million milestone this calendar year is a fantastic achievement and makes FIFA 08 the true entertainment launch of the year.” This is in reference to the fact that they've beaten a record set by the same franchise title in the previous year.
Aside from naming FIFA 08 as “the only true next-gen football game on the market”, EA isn't reluctant to point out the flaws of PES 2008.
Holman said: “Konami by its own admission has faltered with its offering – shipping a game with 'rushed development' which is forcing it back to the drawing board.” Then he adds, that “[they] have significant plans in the run-up to Christmas to maximize [their] current leadership.”

Well I've always been a FIFA fan. I've always said it's the better of the two games, and this years outing proves me right.
