PS3 - French PlayStation Magazine Reveals Two Upcoming Titles

In the March 2008 issue of French PlayStation Magazine, some promising titles that will most likely appear on the PlayStation 3 were announced. Codemasters' Damnation and Recoil: Retrograd from developer ZeitGuyz (also of the Hitman series) are the games which the mag are referring to.

Damnation first came out back in 2005 and is set in the fictional country called Sovereignty where players get to immerse in the role of a man with Spirit Powers. He is out to avenge the death of his squad, as well as to find his lover. Damnation has been compared to Assassin's Creed for its acrobatic elements and Rourke's “Spirit Vision” is comparable to Assassin's Creed's eagle vision. Based on the mag's feature, Damnation will have huge levels that could take up to three hours to complete.

On the other hand, there's Recoil: Retrograd which generated interest knowing that the people who developed the game were the same people who worked on the Hitman series. The game features a “tree save system” which will enable players to go back to previous saved files and get the chance to see the outcome if a different choice was made. What is even better in this game, is that every step you take will matter as it can potentially change who'll gain political power down the line.

Now, we should just await Codemasters and ZeitGuyz to make the necessary announcements. If ever they do, you can expect that we'll take you through it! So watch this space!
