PS3 - God Of War III Also God Of Sales In UK
Last week saw the release of one of the PS3's highly anticipated exclusives this year – God of War III. And just as expected, it reigned supreme on the UK sales charts when the official figures were tallied.
This was indeed a major milestone for Sony, after a dismal performance in 2009 wherein only Killzone 2 managed to reach the number one position. Things are completely different in 2010 though, since during the first quarter of the year, two titles have already took hold of the coveted top spot – Heavy Rain and God of War 3.
Gow III outdone its competitors in the charts, even managing to outperform its PS3 predecessor's launching sales in a 2.65 to 1 ratio. As GoW III takes the number one spot, it means that FF XIII drops to number 3 while Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is hanging in there.
