PS3 - Gran Turismo 5 Development Runs Up $60 Million Price Tag
There is no denying how big Gran Turismo 5 is, and the car count featured in this game is one evidence of that. So, if you are interested to find out exactly how much it cost Polyphony Digital to make Gran Turismo 5. Well, boss Kazunori Yamauchi detailed it reached to as much as US $60 million.
This was revealed during a recent interview with Yamauchi, wherein he said “[t]here are other games that cost more. Considering the size and scale of the game, I think it's probably a fairly small amount.”
Yamauchi failed to detail, however, with regards to whether the said figure he specified already covered for the game's marketing costs. But this one though, as Yamauchi pointed out, is lesser than the estimated budget for GTA 4, which was at US$100 million.
