PS3 - Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Free Demo

Polyphony Digital President Kazumori Yamauchi announced the release date and the free demo launch of their much-anticipated Gran Turismo 5 Prologue at the recent Tokyo Game Show 2007 in Japan. The game will be released in Japan on October 13, 2007, while you can get a peak of the action during its free demo which will be available on October 20.

As the name suggests, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue acts as a prelude to the Gran Turismo 5 which will be out in 2008. Meanwhile, you can download GT5 Prologue from the Sony Playstation Store for US $39 or from retail stores for US $43.

The demo launch was scheduled at a later date so as to be in time for the Tokyo Motor Show where the game will be put on display. This campaign aims to promote both the game and the automotive industry.

Both the Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and Gran Turismo 5 will be PS3 exclusive titles. As a major gaming franchise for the Sony gaming consoles, Gran Turismo has sold millions of copies in ten years of play.
