PS3 - Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Gets Online Patch In Japan
The online patch for Gran Turismo 5: Prologue from Polyphony Digital is finally out in Japan and it has been quite impressive so far. Apparently, this new patch gives gamers a chance to play in ultra-realistic racing action.
This online patch enables a maximum of 16 players in an online racing event, depending of course on the type of race track. Aside from that, the patch also features four real race events set on the following locations: Daytona (16 players max), Suzuka (8 players max), and Fuji Speedway (both 8- and 16-player races).
In this game, you will also be getting four time trial events held in various places such as Daytona, Ziger and London. And the great about these time trial events? The time trial leaderboards are uploaded in real-time per lap, which is readily reflects a player's ranking once a lap has been completed. While some would experience problems when lagging in the online racing sessions, it is mostly traced back to the player's connection.
Online racing with Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is indeed a great treat to fans, speaking in terms of visuals and gameplay. While the online patch is available only in Japan for now, you might want to head on out to the Japanese PlayStation Network and create your own account to get the online Gran Turismo 5 Prologue action.
