PS3 - GTA IV Suffering Freezing Issues? Here's The Solution..
To those that were able to get hold of Grand Theft Auto IV the moment it came out, congratulations... I think. Looks like things are not quite so rosy in Liberty City.
Some have reported their game freezing early into the game, right after the first cut scene. Rockstar does have a solution if this happens to you- you will have to delete your game data and start over. Things should run smoothly after that.
It is looking like this is mainly affecting the 60 GB systems (both launch and post- launch models) and the 20 GB systems. On a side note, the XBox 360 version seems to have the same problem but a solution is yet to be found- no game data install to delete.
