PS3 - GTA IV Update: 30 FPS, PS3 Development "Slightly Behind" 360

Following an exchange of good news and bad news for those fans awaiting the release of Grand Theft Auto IV (PS3, Xbox 360), here are more details about the game as revealed in a recent podcast from 1UP.

First off is some bit of bad news: Grand Theft Auto 4 will be running at a constant 30 FPS for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. Yes, you heard it right! 30 FPS. Even NBA 2K8 has double that!

For some good news, because GTA 4 is a sandbox game, you will be able to do a lot of things and go to various places. In the wide, wild world of this game, lots of things can happen at once.

For another bit of bad news - the game's PlayStation 3 version (which partly caused the game's delay) is slightly behind the Xbox 360 version in terms of development. However, both versions will be released on the same day.

So, there you have it. We'll be keeping you posted on any new updates about GTA4 just before its official release!
