PS3 - Guitar Hero III Gives Boost To Music Sales
If video game adaptations of movies have helped boost ticket sales (and vice versa), then it is only natural that Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock would help increase album sales as well. As soon as the game was released, DragonForce's album Inhuman Rampage increased tremendously, right after the game rolled out.
“Through the Fire and Flames” was one of their songs featured as unlockable track in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PC). Well, you can expect the sales standings to increase some more since the European release date for the game is still on the way, November 23. Slipknot, whose song “Before I Forget” was also featured in the music game, saw an increase in album sales.
