PS3 - Guitar Hero Player Makes Guinness Book of World Records

How many of you remember the video we showed leading up to the release of Guitar Hero III of "Through the Fire and the Flames" by Dragonforce? That song is arguably one of the most difficult tunes in the game.

To help usher in the release of the Guinness World Records 2008: Games Edition, the people at Guinness were on hand to hold a Guitar Hero III contest in New York City along with game organization Twin Galaxies. The winner? 16 year old Chris Chike. He played the aforementioned song in Insane Expert mode and scored a 97% completion rate and a total of 840,647 points! This has been officially recognized by the World's Records people as "The Highest Score for a single song in Guitar hero III: Legends of Rock"

Below you can find a video showing clips of him in action during the record- breaking session. Think you got what it takes to best him? head to the Guinness World Records site and put in a submission (good luck).
