PS3 - Harmonix Confirms Rock Band Prices
A number of stories had been circulating around on the price of the MTV/ Harmonix game Rock Band. The uncertainty was due in part to the number of peripherals that can be used with this game- you have a microphone, drums, bass guitar and lead guitar.
Until now Harmonix would not say anything regarding price points- however, we have now learned that the current price listed at Amazon's US site (you can also check our affiliate store via the link along the top of the forums) is correct. The PS3 and XBox 360 versions of the game will retail for $169.99 US and arrive on November 23. Those of you that have not yet made the jump to the newest system can also get the game on the PS2 at $159.99 US. You'll be waiting until December 10, however.
For that price you get a wired drum set, a microphone and a wireless version of the Fender Stratocaster guitar (the XBox 360 version has a USB guitar and a hub included). The guitar with the PlayStation 3 version will also work on the PS2. The game and all of the peripherals will also be available separately.
